History of Belarus

Our company connects its operation closely to the history of Belarus, a sovereign European country. Our mottos are “Revival of national traditions will make Belarus prosper!” and “Love everything in your country!”

Republic of Belarus is a young sovereign European country with a very rich heroic history, with the ancient cities and towns of Polotsk, Vitebsk, Nesvizh, Slutsk, Brest, Grodno, Minsk. Polotsk with the famous Christian St. Sophia’s Cathedral was the centre of the mighty Polotsk Principality which flowered under Prince Vseslav. The people called him “Magician” for his wisdom and bravery.

In the Middle Ages the Belarusian lands were the backbone of the Grand Principality of Lithuania, one of the largest European countries of that time. The famous palatine dynasty of Radzivils with the residence at an ancient town of Nesvizh was the support of that state. At that time the Chancellor of the Grand Principality of Lithuania Lev Sapega issued the Statute, one of the first codes of state laws of Europe, and the philosopher and enlightener Frantsysk Skorina printed the first Bible in East Europe in the Belarusian language.

The whole world knows the heroic general Tadeush Kastsyushko who headed an uprising for the liberty of his dear land. He is remembered and honoured in France, Poland, Lithuania, Australia, USA. Avenues and streets are named after him in all the continents.

Belarus is the famous Belavezha forest reserve with mighty wisents; it is Belaya Vezha, a menacing ancient fortress at the edge of that forest; these are dense green forests and affluent blue rivers and lakes. Belarus is a hospitable industrious people.
